What a wonderful symbol this release is. Marking the 96th release of this prolific trio, the work of P/H puts an involuntary smile on my face. Raw and homegrown, the musical stylings of Ihor Tvoronovich are featured here, as they were in the prior neofolk release on Effluvia. He and cohorts of his have together one continuous piece separated into smaller movements, all following the same moose but all dazzling and unique in their own right. What merges these industrial tracks of beautifully reoccurring guitar, drums, and grumbled vocals is an all pervading amplifier buzz that will surely phase your mind and lock you into heavyweight magnetic submission as you are pummeled with garage grunge emissions of homage paying badassery. You must love the musical intuitiveness and precision and radiance with this prolific outfit of true, solid, music! Oh now I remember why I love Lo Fi! This duo brings about this involuntary smile, amidst volcanic eruptions all over the damn place, through the insistence of music production. Listen, then finish listening, then wipe the grin off your face and make some music yourself!!! As we end this peculiar year of 2011, this marking the final release of the year, let’s start 2012 musically!
