(ER021) Seclorum – The Finalization

Effluvia is happy to bring you a masterpiece of psychedelic jam experimentation, but it’s even happier to bring you a masterpiece of psychedelic jam experimentation. Talk about an entrancing album! Perfect repetition. Unyielding dynamic.  A dense and layered album that will hold your attention throughout the length of play, only increasing in emotional and artistic energy as the seconds rupture, broil, stampede through your mind. A cerebral party shaking like a volcano, headphones sizzling and sparkling like a firework show. I could go on and on, but the album sings it’s song and I shan’t do it’s job. Just brace yourself haphazardly for a crystalline tour de force hopping up and down your corridors and cranking all of your steaming, sparking valves. The temperature, so azure! Now, about the artist. Alex Vargas was his name, and unfortunately in autumn of 2010 he passed away, residing in Cyprus at the time. This being the second posthumous release on Effluvia, after Absolute Zero. To my euphoric surprise, I was informed by Hoffman La roche, who presented these hidden gems to me, that Vargas had founded three netlabels! DNA Productions, NBK Records, & Alter-X Promotion Project. Exploring these vast wonders of the world, so obscured by snobby bourgeoise values and hidden fear towards the omnipresent harsh noise wall of life, I found myself almost in tears by the artistic catharsis and devotion and surrender and skill that existed in the labyrinths. However unknown he may be to you, what is evident is that his contributions to the art community were magnanimous and beautiful. This album affirms his love of music, which can be felt every second throughout. Give this album the attention it deserves. Put on those headphones!

About

Emanate the residue, my friends. All foundations have dismantled. The veils have all lifted. The stench of rot is in the air. Breathe in the aroma deeply, my friends. You, a fellow secreter of radiance and soul. Let us dissolve reality and float about in the primordial world where everything imaginable comes to pass. Come, transcend the mud by digging into it. My friends, let us bask in the effluvia of it all!
