(ER100) The Olfactory Bulb

After falling a month behind because of computer problems and life’s general malaise, it is finally here! The one hundredth release on Effluvia Recordings, and the final release for a long while. One day, perhaps at some point in the next 12 months I will start this miasma of a label up again with a new look and thesis. For now though, I hope we here at Effluvia have given you wonderful people enough to digest for a while, because some of the albums in our catalog I can say safely changed the way I smelled sound. So many different perspectives in so many amazingly executed albums, with beautiful artwork and track names and goodies. Video, audio, the written word, by artists from all over the world, who create music in all forms possible. Lots of quality noise, ambiance, drone, musique concrete, braindance, techno, neofolk, instrumental, and all experimental outside genres one can comprehend! All of these different directions these many minds take always felt representative of a mind broken up into fragmented pieces. Ideas that contradict, many different minds with different standpoints that clash with one another, and all of these components forming the ripe effluvium of it all are oh so mysterious. Who knows what you will catch a whiff of in these dreams. Now here, the third compilation put together by Dishdawash, Effluvia’s headmaster, entitled as “The Olfactory Bulb”. Without one of those, we couldn’t smell the effluvia! The other two are the lobit compilation “Lo Stroma” on OH BLEEP RECORDS and the longform compilation “The Slaying Scythe Of Rhea Kronia Was The Crescent Moon” here on Effluvia. This compilation is six hours of what you need! 61 artists making a total of 65 pieces. Each track, one after the other, I have put in order carefully with care to make sure the best experience comes from listening to it either chronologically all the way through, or listening to each of the four parts I have separated the tracks into one at a time. Each part is between 15 and 18 tracks. With the compilation I have included a little write-up on each artist who contributed in rich text format or as a word document.
