(ER103) Pllxsk – EP

Arnaud Barbe and Patrick Doyle, two musicians I owe so much too. Their influence on my music and way of looking at what is possible in the musical underground would be difficult to put into words, so I ask that you peruse these two musicians. Arnaud is the man behind the monumental Pollux and Pogohm, not that I need to tell you that. The most easily recognized pseudonym of Patrick’s is RedSK, but the number of projects which he is part and parcel to or is the master of is too much to even begin brushing over in this review, which I promise I will keep as brief as this EP. They have joined forces here under the name Pllxsk, and as we have seen from other collaborative works between the two, their style are highly complementary. This album flies by very quickly, so I won’t go into what makes it so great. If you have a small window of free time, you can see this for yourself. It feels nice to showcase work from artists we have grown so familiar with that no persuasion is necessary on the part of the reviewer, but I can say for certain that I am happy to have these two as reoccurring fruits on the Effluvia tree. Brace yourself.

Emanate the residue, my friends. All foundations have dismantled. The veils have all lifted. The stench of rot is in the air. Breathe in the aroma deeply, my friends. You, a fellow secreter of radiance and soul. Let us dissolve reality and float about in the primordial world where everything imaginable comes to pass. Come, transcend the mud by digging into it. My friends, let us bask in the effluvia of it all!
